Background
Founded in 2007, LC Tech is a start-up company composed of a group of world-class technical talents located in the heart of the Silicon Valley. LC Tech is conducting leading edge Research and Development in the field of nanotechnology and nanomaterials. The main focus is in designing, developing and integrating advanced materials for optoelectronic device applications.
Facilities
LC Tech has outstanding long-term collaborations with government agencies and academic laboratories. The main research and manufacturing facility is located at NASA Research Park (NRP) in the Silicon Valley. With access to NASA'’s state of the art characterization facilities, LC Tech is able to perform cutting edge materials research and development. NRP also fully supports LC Tech'’s product development and commercialization. In addition to 2500 sq. feet desinated optical and chemistry laboratory facility, LC Tech also has access to a 80,000 sq. feet complex of laboratories and office, meeting, or library spaces at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC).
Core Competencies
LC Tech utilizes scalable materials growth, processing and fabrication techniques to meet photovoltaic conversion, radiation detection, trace chemical and biological detections, and device performance challenges as part of its advancement. LC Tech has also established distribution channels and distributed through original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners. LC Tech founder and president, Dr. Bin Chen, has successfully led several programs to apply nanotechnology to spectroscopy sensing and instrumentation development, from laboratory analysis to field detections. LC Tech has a well-established expertise in developing lightweight polymer composite materials for energy conversions and radiation shielding under NASA extreme space environment.
